The projects wants to rediscover the natural elements of the flora of the state creating a new high-rise building that is a green oasis in the centre of the city. Cocobolo Centre is thought as part of the nature of Panama that reclaims its place in the city. The project focuses on the landscapes we can find in the country of Panama, full of Banyan trees and Cocobolos. Leafy landscapes that are the home of its inhabitants. Cocobolo Centre is in this case an organic landscape that accommodates the new market of Panama and its new neighbours. Its vegetation, fruit and spirit are organizing the market located between the city and the sea, as a space of passage and transition. Cocobolo Market is open to the city while open to its residential towers. Large patios of light, reminiscent of the cenotes, bring light to the big market while visually and physically connect with the residential towers. The residential towers, large Cocobolos, born from the ground to the sky while offering the best views of Panama City. At the same time they are opened in the inside bringing light to the ground floor, becoming huge wells. The roof top garden connects vertically the market, and gives to the neighbours an elevated sky garden where to relax and to understand the city from a new perspective.
